Our recommendations

Fansipan Mountain is located 9 kilometers south-west of Sa Pa, in the Hoang Lien Mountain Range. Branded “the Roof of Indochina” at the height of 3,143m, Fansipan is one of the very few eco-tourist spots of Vietnam with about 2,024 floral varieties and 327 faunal species. It takes six or seven days to reach the 3,143m summit, the highest peak of the Indochina Peninsula. The summit of Fansipan is accessible all year round, but the best time to make the ascent is from mid-October to mid-November, and again in March. Ham Rong Mountain, which belongs to the majestic Hoang Lien Son Range, is just within Sa Pa town. It looks like a jaw of a dragon opening wide to the sky, such intoxicating scenery when the whole landscape is blanketed in the mist. Standing on green-mossed stone steps halfway to Ham Rong Mountain, tourists will see a fantastic world behind with Sa Pa town wrapped by endless white color of clouds and mist. In the distance, tourists will be amazed by some houses looming illusionary and get lost by clouds covering their legs. Cat Cat Village is 2 kilometers from Sa Pa town. It is an old village of H’Mong ethnic group with unique customs and practices that are lost in other villages. Visitors to Cat Cat have an opportunity to admire a lively and colorful picture. That is the image of young women sitting by looms with colorful pieces of brocade decorated with designs of flowers and birds. In addition to the brocade weaving craft, many residents in Cat Cat are good at making gold and silver jewelry. Their products are fairly sophisticated, especially jewelry for women. Silver Waterfall, or Thac Bac, lies beside National Highway no. 4D, about 12 kilometers from Sa Pa town center. Silver Waterfall is formed by sources of water from the Lo Sui Tong mountain peak. From the distance, the waterfall looks like a white dragon looking down from the sky. You can reach the Silver Waterfall by motor bike or by car in half an hour. From there you can see stunning view of the surrounding mountains and the last forests belonging to Hoang Lien National Park.
